Havelsan Teknoloji Radar (HTR) was established in 1990 to manufacture long-range early warning radars and became a subsidiary of HAVELSAN in 2001, further strengthening its operations.
HTR carries out radar, integrated logistic support, network supported security systems, cabling, card, module, unit and subsystem assembly, as well as system integration and testing activities within a total facility area of 35,500 m².
In 2017, HTR was granted the title of Ministry-approved R&D Center and continues its growth by developing original and national products through projects carried out with its strong capabilities.
HTR continues to move confidently into the future with its innovative technologies and national solutions.

The Beginning of the Technology Journey
Thomson Tekfen Radar Inc. was established through a partnership between Turkish and French companies within the scope of technology transfer for long- range mobile air search radars. This step laid the foundation for HTR’s engineering expertise in the field of defense electronics.
2001
Transfer of Shares to HAVELSAN
Following the acquisition of Thales’ shares by HAVELSAN Inc., the company was restructured and adopted the name Havelsan Teknoloji Radar (HTR) Inc. This transformation strengthened its strategic position within the national defense industry ecosystem.
2003
Establishment of the Network Supported Security Systems Directorate
The Network Supported Security Systems Directorate was established to address the security needs of critical facilities. This organizational development marked a new phase in HTR’s expertise in physical security and integrated surveillance solutions.
2007
Expansion of the Production Directorate
Cable and electromechanical assembly production lines were commissioned under the Production Directorate. This development became an important milestone in strengthening HTR’s serial production capability and efficient manufacturing infrastructure.
2017
R&D Center Status
HTR was granted the title of R&D Center approved by the Ministry. With this ac- hievement, its innovative engineering approach gained a stronger institutional identity, and its technology development capability advanced significantly during this period.
2017
Transition to the New Production Facility (6,000 m²)
In line with increasing production capacity, HTR moved into a 6,000 m² indoor production area in June. This investment supported the serial production infrastructure of its growing projects.
2018
Establishment of the Card Assembly Line
The Card Assembly Line was established to support electronic card production and card assembly processes. This step marked an important milestone in HTR’s electronics manufacturing capabilities.
2021
New Facility Investment (15,500 m² Indoor Area)
Completed in 2021, the new building significantly expanded HTR’s production and engineering capacity with 15,500 m² of indoor space. In line with its sustainable growth objectives, HTR further strengthened its infrastructure.
